North Dakota Gas Prices Still Below National Averages

BISMARCK, N.D. (AP) — Retail gasoline prices in North Dakota continue to slide.

GasBuddy.com reports that the average price of a gallon of gas in the state has fallen 6 ½ cents in the past week, to $1.66.

The national average is down only 2 ½ cents, to $1.80 a gallon. That's the lowest level in seven years.

Petroleum analyst Patrick DeHaan says gas prices might continue to drift lower for a while yet, but they're likely to begin rising in a few weeks because the price of crude oil has rebounded above $30 per barrel.
