BISMARCK, N.D. (AP) — North Dakota Secretary of State Al Jaeger has announced a public education campaign aimed at reminding people to bring identification to the polls to prove they are eligible to vote.

As reported Tuesday on the Joel Heitkamp Show on SuperTalk 1270, the theme of the campaign is that voting in North Dakota is "Easy as Pie," which emphasizes that every effort is being made to ensure that all eligible voters are able to exercise their right to vote.

State law has required voters to provide ID since 2004.

The advertising campaign is being paid for with a $700,000 federal grant as part of the Help America Vote Act.
