FARGO, N.D. (AP) — Members of a North Dakota National Guard unit who served 10 months overseas have been formally recognized for their service.

A Freedom Salute ceremony was held Sunday for the 15 soldiers with Fargo-based 231st Brigade Support Battalion Logistical Support Element.

The soldiers between last September and this past July managed supply, maintenance and transportation for units in the U.S. Central Command, or CENTCOM.

CENTCOM covers security and military issues in the central area of the globe and includes 20 countries, including Afghanistan, Egypt, Iran, Iraq, Kuwait, Lebanon, Pakistan, and Saudi Arabia.
