BOWBELLS, N.D. (AP) — The city of Bowbells in northwestern North Dakota is looking for public and private donations to buy a new ambulance.

KXMC-TV reports the city's existing ambulance is 16 years old. A new one costs between $200,000 and $250,000.

Dan Folske is president of the Bowbells Ambulance Association. He says the group will be applying for grants, but needs all the help it can get.

Folske says he hopes the funding campaign will also draw attention to how challenging it is for the city to find people to staff the fire house and drive the ambulance.
