BISMARCK, N.D. (AP) — A North Dakota woman has pleaded guilty in federal court to biting a Bureau of Indian Affairs officer on the arm.

Jessie Grant, of Fort Yates, is charged with assaulting a federal officer. She faces a maximum penalty of eight years in prison.

Authorities say the incident happened last summer on the Standing Rock Indian Reservation. Sentencing is set for June 22.

A federal public defender could not be reached for comment.
