Have you gotten any of your stimulus money yet?

After months and months of dealing with the automated phone assistants and attempts to make an appointment with the local IRS offices, I have all but given up hope on ever receiving a single stimulus check. When I finally got in touch with an actual person, I was assured that I would have the first and second checks by the new year - that was September 2020. Guess what? It is March 9, 2021, and I still have not gotten anything from the IRS.

An estimated 24,000 North Dakotans never even got the first stimulus check, which was issued in April 2020.

As it turns out, I am not the only person in North Dakota that this happened to. In fact, according to 2020 notification on ND.gov, an estimated 24,000 North Dakota residents never received the first Economic Impact Payment. But there is still some alleged hope in eventually receiving the overdue, deserved funds.

About eight million United States households have yet to receive an Economic Impact Payment.

According to recent USA Today, there were about eight million households in the entire country that never got a single stimulus check. Sadly, most of the non-recipients are reported to be the people that need it the most - low-income families. However, USA Today also reports that it is still possible to ensure that we all get our stimulus checks. Get the details here.

I can imagine that people in the same boat as I am are not holding their breath for their money. But, if those checks ever hits ever get sent, I will be laughing all the way to the bank with my $3,400!
