WILLISTON, N.D. (AP) — A documentary portraying the gritty side of the North Dakota oil boom is coming to Williston.

"The Overnighters" will be screened at the Grand Theater in downtown Williston on Oct. 30 at 7 p.m.

The film follows a Williston pastor who opened up his church, its parking lot and eventually his home to migrant workers with nowhere to sleep. The film highlights the tensions between locals of this once-quiet farming community and the thousands of workers who have arrived in just a few years.

The screening will be followed by a panel discussion with director Jesse Moss, former Williston mayor Ward Koeser and Williston Herald managing editor Jerry Burnes.

The film will begin a regular theatrical run in Williston on Oct. 31.
