BISMARCK, N.D. (AP) — Revisions to a proposed ordinance regulating mobile vendors in Bismarck would move the businesses off city streets to designated areas.

The Bismarck Tribune reports the change would move food trucks and other vendors to certain alleys and parking lots in the downtown area.

Supporters of the revised ordinance say the change is needed because 90-minute parking restrictions during the day make it difficult for the vendors to operate. Some people also complained about the trucks and equipment being left overnight.

A public hearing on the ordinance will be held later this month.
