Red Meat Healthy After All?

Tenderloin, Porterhouse, T-Bone, Ribeye, Beef Ribs, Prime Rib, New York Strip, Sirloin, Hamburger...I love them all!  With the US 103.3 studios next to Kist Livestock, It's What's For Dinner!

This is one of the happiest stories that I will read all year!  The only thing that might make me happier is wrapping it in BACON!

Raw Story claims new research published in the Annals of Internal Medicine reveals that eating red meat may not be as unhealthy as previously thought. Researchers found that the instances of red meat being linked with heart disease, diabetes, and cancer were relatively few.

Professor Bradley Johnston says, "There are very small risk reductions in cancer, heart disease and diabetes, however the evidence is uncertain. So there may be a reduction — or there may not be. People need to make their own decisions. We are giving them the best estimate of the truth. People should look at this and hopefully make more well-informed personal choices, rather than being told what to do by authoritative organizations."

What is your favorite Red Meat?  Like everything, just remember that everything should be in moderation.  Unless you're stranded on a desert island and could only eat one food, mine would be STEAK!
