Severe Thunderstorm Watch for Burleigh County and Areas East of Bismarck
The National Weather Service in Bismarck has issued a SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WATCH for Burleigh County and other counties in the state until 10 p.m. tonight. ( July 4th)
Extremely hot temperatures today is making the air unstable and favorable for severe thunderstorms. The counties effective in the watch area include-
- Burleigh
- Kidder
- Emmons
- Wells
- Sheridan
This includes the cites and towns of Bismarck, Jamestown, Ashley, Carrington, Linton Steele and Towner. For a complete list of counties and towns, click here.
The watch is in effect until 10 p.m. tonight. A severe thunderstorm watch means conditions are favorable for severe thunderstorms, dangerous lightening and large size hail with the possibility of strong winds.
