Not your average deer hunting opener for a Minnesota deer hunter.  Cory Klocek of Zimmerman, Minnesota was hunting Saturday morning on a friends farm near East Bethel, Minnesota.  That's when a beautiful 10 point buck came strutting by his tree stand.  Cory took the shot, and the deer headed over the hill towards a pond.  When Cory got to the edge of the pond he took a look to see if he could find antlers.  That's when he saw this.

At first, Cory thought this might be a prank done by one of his hunting friends.  He was suspecting it could be a rubber alligator?  Then, the alligator moved.  He wasn't sure what to do, so Cory called a Minnesota DNR friend of his.  The DNR officer told him to shoot it, since it's an invasive species and it's not supposed to be there.  So, that's what Cory did, and now he has a story that he'll be telling for the rest of his life.  Only in 2020, could a deer hunter in Minnesota have an encounter with an alligator.  Cory eventually did find his 10 point buck as well.  Klocek said, he was literally "speechless" after the encounter.

Cory, told me he has no idea where the gator came from, but suspects it came from a home near by, that raised it as a pet and then decided to let it go.  His wife wants it for a purse, but Cory plans to have it mounted with the 10 point deer together in a taxidermy piece.
