There is nothing like sibling love, and this week's winner of 'Armed Services Appreciation Days' proves just that. Kara Bender nominated her brother, Kyle Syverson, member of the ND National Guard, to be recognized for his service to our country.

Take a look at what Kara had to say about her brother:

This is my brother Kyle. He just completed his basic training with the National Guard. He is now in Virginia for some additional training until July. I have never met anyone like him. He is kind to everyone and will go way out of his way to help a stranger. He loves hunting, fishing, Nascar, and his dogs. He has been my best friend my whole life and I'm so lucky! Before he left for basic training he worked at Sanford Living Center in Mandan, ND. Everyone loved Kyle because he took the time to talk and listen to every single resident there. He is always smiling and it is very contagious! He deserves some kind of recognition just for being an amazing human being:)

Based on the above story, we have a great man in Kyle protecting our country. Kyle will receive a $100 gift certificate from Applebee's as a token of our appreciation.

On behalf of 1033 US Country, Applebee's, and the rest of Bismarck-Mandan, we say THANK YOU for all you do for us!

Make sure you submit your nomination for 'Armed Services Appreciation Days', where we'll select a winner every week through May 26th.
