Spring may be officially starting on Tuesday (March 20th), but winter isn't over quite yet for Bismarck-Mandan and surrounding areas.

The National Weather Service in Bismarck posted an interactive map to show snowfall totals throughout Bismarck-Mandan and several other areas in North Dakota.

As of about 5 p.m. this afternoon, most locations around the Bismarck-Mandan area had reported between 5 and 6 inches of total snowfall from this storm. The NWS is also forecasting another round of snow for Thursday night into Saturday morning.

In an interview with the Bismarck Tribune, NWS meteorologist Zack Hargrove said this next storm could drop light snow over a more prolonged period.

As for the next few days, here's what the forecast looks like.

As the week progresses, we'll keep you posted as to any and all snowfall activity as needed. For now, please be safe on the roads and if you have to be on the roads, definitely give yourself plenty of time to reach your destination.
