Often while driving, I look, I see, I think, I wonder? What are those cameras at most intersections in town used for?

Is someone watching me drive? Can I view the film or is the camera constantly rolling, taking video? How long is the video saved? So many questions, and NO ANSWERS!

Well, leave it up to Lar Dawg to get answers for you! Well, kind of. I called the Public Information Officer at the Bismarck Police Department and asked him the same questions. Here is what I found out. No, I can not view the film. No, the cameras are not taping, therefore there is nothing for me to look at.

The city does not control the cameras, the North Dakota Transportation Department have control over these cameras and from the best of this gentleman's knowledge, the cameras are used for traffic control, flow and signal lights in the Bismarck-Mandan area.

Now we all know and I can move on to my next assignment, why hasn't someone come up with a pill that would prevent our toe and finger nails from growing! Seems like a GREAT idea since I hate doing both!
