Travelers are on notice now. For Super Bowl Sunday, get your traveling done early, especially if your travels have you in or around or going through the Red River Valley.

The National Weather Service in Bismarck has issues a BLIZZARD WARNING  and a HIGH WIND WARNING for a majority of the state, from Bismarck moving East into Minnesota. According to the statement-

A Blizzard Warning has been issued for much of the Devils Lake Basin and the Red River Valley for late Saturday and after midnight and throughout the day on Sunday. Additional Warnings and Advisories extend across the Dakotas and Minnesota. Make sure you check your local conditions carefully and adjust your plans accordingly.

 

High Wind Warning is posted for Bismarck and surrounding are from 12 a.m. Sunday to 6 a.m. Monday. Other areas include  Mandan, Jamestown, Steele, Linton, Fort Yates, Ashley and Oaks.

The Blizzard Warning includes Harvey and Lisbon moving East to the Minnesota state line.

The HIGH WIND WARNING means winds from 40 to 58 MPH are possible, causing blowing and drifting snow- travel will be impacted. Stay tuned for updates and closures if needed. Visibility could be greatly reduced.
