While folks are getting ready for the big game, you have another group of people that are getting ready for the other big game, Puppy Bowl 2015.

It's become a Super Bowl tradition and it has nothing to do with the other bowl game, but it's been happening for 10 years! Plus Puppy Bowl is the second highest rated TV show on Super Bowl Sunday! Puppy Bowl features cheerleaders, coaches, commentators, instant replay, stadium, fans and all sorts of "AWWWWS"!

The Animal Planet network is televising Puppy Bowl starting at 2 PM CST. Team Ruff will take on Team Fluff with a half time performance from Kitty Furry, plus hamsters in a biplane!

Most of the animals are available for adoption. This has become such a huge game that some pet shelter actually double their adoption fees after Puppy Bowl.

This is a huge production. The 3 x10-yard field has the referee you see on television, but off camera are animal handlers for each animal, a huge production team, and about 10 cameras to catch all the action.

Producers use jars of peanut butter, that the team use to put on the camera lenses to get the puppies to lick them. Awwww!

The team roster consist of 84 puppies from 37 shelters and private homes from around the country. Owners actually send audition tapes to AP to get their pooch in Puppy Bowl!

Get the football food ready! And get ready for all sorts of cuteness!

Puppy Bowl is here! Non stop cuteness starting at 2 PM Sunday.

To adopt locally, get familiar with this weeks critter in Critter Corner. Every week, we feature a new animal from the Central Dakota Humane Society with a complete photo gallery of all of the cats and dogs needing loving homes.
