If you live in certain parts of South Bismarck and use an alarm clock, make alternate plans for Thursday morning.

At about 11:45 Monday morning, approximately 5,200 customers lost power in North Bismarck after a small crane operated by a business on Twin City Drive in Mandan struck a 115 kilovolt transmission line.

A power surge at the Superdome in New Orleans knocked out a number of the lights causing play to be disrupted (sabotage by the 49ers perhaps?). The delay is expected to be up to a half hour long. Let's hope the break doesn't mess with anyone's focus.
