If you're a shopper of Target and you use their pharmacy, there are changes coming to the clinics inside the big box retailer.

CVS and Target made the announcement Monday (6/15) morning. CVS will take over, re-brand and operate the pharmacies inside of Target in the near $2 billion sale.  Target has over 1500 clinics and pharmacy counters inside of their stores including in North Dakota and one store in Bismarck and Minot.

According to the press-release-

This strategic relationship brings together two leading retailers with complementary strengths, brands and cultures to enhance the health care experience for Target guests while expanding CVS Health’s retail presence in new markets, such as Seattle, Denver, Portland and Salt Lake City.  The transaction enables CVS Health to reach more patients, adding a new retail channel for its offerings, and expanding convenient options for consumers.

The deal is expected to be finalize by the end of this year.
