When you think of the best place to live, there are always a number of factors to take into consideration. Money magazine has done just that for every state.

Money focused on the main factors anyone does when they think of where they want to live and what's best for them. Such factors are affordability, economic and educational performance, convenience, and safety among others. Perhaps you might think that one of the three metropolitan statistical areas such as Bismarck, Fargo, and Grand Forks would make the list but that is not the case. According to Money magazine, the best place in North Dakota to live is in Dickinson.

The magazine points out the fact that Dickinson's projected job growth for the year is 8.9 percent with a strong economy and one of the fastest growing cities in the state. The population is at 24,771 and the median household income is $71,866. The city is also the home for Dickinson State University and the Dickinson Museum Center. Dickinson's outdoor activities such as biking, hiking, horseback riding, fishing and big-game hunting are also mentioned by the publication.
