I'm not going to lie.  My least favorite part of the holidays besides dealing with the in-laws is wrapping Christmas gifts.  It's a form of torture for me.  I believe it's something that's more of an artform, and I'm just not very good at it.  Thankfully, the Optimist Club of Bismarck to the rescue.

According to a press release sent to us from the Optimist Club, the club will be wrapping Christmas gifts at the Kirkwood mall starting (today) December 10th through December 24th with its annual "Gift Wrap" fundraiser.  The Gift Wrap booth is located across from the former Herberger's location inside the Kirkwood Mall.  All proceeds collected from the Optimist Gift Wrap will benefit programs for local youth in the Bismarck-Mandan community.  The Optimist Club will also be offering two nights of "Curbside to Go" gift wrapping on Friday, December 18th and Monday, December 21st on the east side of the mall from 5:00 pm to 9:00 pm.

The Optimist Club of Bismarck has been organizing and coordinating events for local youth in Bismarck-Mandan since it was chartered in 1971.  Other programs and service projects that the Optimist Club is involved in include the Avenue of Flags, The Optimist Impact Grant, filling backpacks for United Way agencies and hosing an Easter Egg Hunt for local youth.

Once again, it all starts TONIGHT at Kirkwood Mall. Near the former Hergerger's location from 5:00 pm to 9:00 pm.  Take some of the stress off the holidays and help out a great cause.
