Truck, Train Collide Near Ross, North Dakota

ROSS, N.D. (AP) — Authorities are investigating after a pickup truck struck the second locomotive of a BNSF Railway train in Mountrail County.

Railroad spokeswoman Amy McBeth tells the Minot Daily News the train crew wasn't injured in the accident Sunday afternoon near Ross. She says she heard a report that the truck's occupants were up and walking around at the scene of the accident.

McBeth wasn't able to comment further on damage to the train or truck. She says the railroad will work with agencies investigating the incident.

A message seeking comment from the Mountrail County Sheriff's Department wasn't immediately returned.
