JAMESTOWN, N.D. (AP) — Authorities are searching for two people who escaped from the addiction treatment unit at the State Hospital in Jamestown.

The Highway Patrol says 33-year-old Natonie Decoteau and 28-year-old Valinda Tyndall escaped from a fenced outdoor area shortly before 9 p.m. Thursday.

Decoteau was in the custody of the state Corrections Department and is considered an escaped inmate. She's serving a sentence for a probation violation and unauthorized use of a motor vehicle. She has ties to the Belcourt and Fargo areas.

Tyndall is under the supervision of North Dakota Parole and Probation and is considered an absconded probationer. The patrol says she has ties to the Bismarck area.
