Every region of the country has different music preferences whether their taste is based on a particular band, artist, or music genre. Now we can find out what North Dakota's is.

YouTube is obviously somewhat of a go-to source of entertainment, especially when it comes to music. Using Billboard's Top 100 from this past Spring, along with YouTube's own geocoded streaming data, you can find out what regions of the country prefer certain bands and artists.

The research is based on the time between January 2016 and April 2017. The maps were shaded with different colors that would tell how much that state or region of the country listened to a specific artist or band. In North Dakota, it seems that the most popular artists were Twenty One Pilots, The Weeknd, Eminem, Katy Perry, Taylor Swift, Sia, Maroon 5, Florida Georgia Line, Imagine Dragons, Luke Bryan, Lady Gaga, Jason Derulo, Linkin Park, and Metallica.
