Where is the Cheapest Rental Prices in North Dakota?
With the reduction of oil prices and jobs in the area, the state is going through somewhat of a correction and 'catch up' time. During this period, the apartments and landlords that were so strict with their regulations for renters, such as not allowing pets, all of a sudden, Fido is now welcomed and rental prices have began to take a dip.
Needless to say, the area including Bismarck will have an over abundant of rental properties vacancies because the demand is not like it was in the past 5-6 years. Due to the less demand, properties are getting creative to attract renters. Becoming pet friendly, dropping rental prices, deposits and just being nicer and not as choosey. It's a renters market. Enjoy it while it lasts.
This got us thinking, where is the cheapest rent in the state. After all, we've all heard the stories of how some Western North Dakota communities had rental prices on the same level as New York City which was absurd! Some rental prices in the oil patch have dropped as much as 50%. According to AOL, the cheapest rent is North Dakota is Jamestown. The average rental price is $613 per month, and that rental price places North Dakota as 28th nationally.
