Who Should Attend WBPC?

The center of the petroleum industry will be centered in Bismarck this week as the city and the Bismarck Civic Center will play host to thousands of visitors for the Williston Basin Petroleum Conference, Wednesday and Thursday.

Who should attend the conference? Just about anyone interested in the oil industry. Tickets are available through the website.  Topics will range from energy supply and demand to the advancements being made in the Bakken to extract the fuel and how this industry impacts the local communities and basic education. If you have any interest in the oil industry, you'll be able to find something that peak your curiosity at the WBPC.

There is much concern over the safety of fracking and the effects on the drinking water and local communities and how it effects the residents and agriculture. Many citizens are concerned about the long range effects of this process to the environment for future generations, including if this process ruins the land for farming and damages the soil.
