A Winter Weather Advisory will go into effect tomorrow morning (January 10th) in Bismarck and surrounding areas as a strong arctic cold front moves into the region.

The cold front is predicted to move in on Tuesday night into Wednesday morning, bringing along snow and gusting winds around 30 mph. According to the National Weather Service, the Winter Weather Advisory will go into effect at 9 a.m. Wednesday and will last until 6 a.m. on Thursday morning.

The temperature for Wednesday is forecasted to reach the upper 20s with a high around 28 around 8 a.m. and then steadily fall throughout the rest of the day. Snow could begin to fall as early as 8 a.m., but the heaviest of it is forecasted to be after about noon with accumulations anywhere from 1 to 4 inches.

Wind chills in the Bismarck area for Wednesday are predicted to be around -20 and as low as -35 in surrounding areas. More snow is also being predicted for Friday.
