MANNING, N.D. (AP) — Law enforcement officials located an 80-year-old woman in the western North Dakota Badlands after a search involving aircraft, horses, bloodhounds and all-terrain vehicles.

The Dunn County Sheriff's Department says the family of Virginia Hecker reported her missing Friday night. The Bismarck Tribune reports Hecker had last been seen about 2 p.m. that day at her home northwest of Dickinson. Family members said Hecker often goes on walks around her property.

Searchers found Hecker about 10:30 a.m. Saturday. Authorities said she was disoriented and dehydrated but otherwise uninjured. She was taken to a Dickinson hospital for observation.
