Deployed Soldier With Selfless Heart Wins Week 3 of ‘Armed Services Appreciation Days’

The week three winner of Applebee's 'Armed Services Appreciation Days' is a shining example of putting others before yourself. 

Taylor Zako serves with the Army and is currently deployed. His fiance, Megan Stoltz, submitted his story for consideration - take a look:

Taylor is currently overseas protecting our country. But he is not only is protecting our country, he's filling my heart with joy every single day. I was a single mom, and a full time nursing student, and before he left, he asked me to marry him. Not only did he take my heart, but he also stole my 2 year old daughter's heart as well! Taylor had roses delivered to my house the day after I passed my finals. He has such a huge heart. He asks me to send pens and candy so he can give them or to the children overseas. He deserves more than an award, he deserves recognition for his commitment to our country and for his enormous heart!

We wholeheartedly agree with Megan! As a token of our appreciation, Taylor will receive a $100 gift certificate to Applebee's.
