The north area along Highway 83, North of Bismarck continues to see growth with new hotels being built and a huge shopping center at the corner of 57th Avenue and Highway 83 N, with a national sporting good outlet and grocery food chain.

To accommodate the growth and the new Legacy High School on North Washington Street, the new 57th Avenue extension is complete and opened over the weekend.
