MINOT, N.D. (AP) — A Minot man accused of sending sexually explicit photos to girls and trying to get them to the send him similar photos has pleaded guilty to six felonies.

KXMC-TV reports the most serious charge against 20-year-old Nicholas Thiel is promoting an obscene performance by a minor. The maximum sentence is 10 years in prison. He could face up to 35 years on all of the counts.

In exchange for his guilty plea, prosecutors are dropping 10 other charges, including eight felonies.

Police allege that Thiel contacted most of the girls through Facebook, using an alias. He's to be sentenced Feb. 6.
