The forecast is for snow and snow showers today, tonight and tomorrow for the Bismarck-Mandan area. The North Dakota Department of Transportation has issued this statement;

No Travel Advisory to the southwest region of North Dakota including the cities of Bowman, New England, Medora, Belfield, Dickinson, Richardton, Killdeer and surrounding areas due to heavy snow causing areas of near zero visibility and icy conditions. Motorists should not travel due to hazardous conditions which may make it unsafe to travel.

A Travel Alert remains in effect for areas of southwest and north central North Dakota including the cities of Beach, Watford City, New Town, Minot and surrounding areas due to snow causing reduced visibility and scattered ice on roadways. Conditions are such that motorists can still travel in these areas, but should be advised that conditions could change rapidly in the evening hours. Motorists are encouraged to reduce speeds and drive according to the conditions.
