According to Governor Doug Burgum's facebook page, President Donald Trump said the NDSU Bison Football team will get a rain check in a few months to visit the White House. President Trump stated he watched the game on television and how could one not watch a team that has won eight national championship games in the last nine years. According to a youtube video of Governor Doug Burgum's visit with President Trump he stated, "So I watched the game on television, the championship game. I didn't know too much about it, I don't get to watch too much of the television football games, right? And I'm saying, man that team is really good, they were really good. And then I got a call from Doug, and I get a call from John, I get a call from our other very friendly senator, right, the three of them. And they said, do you think we could possibly honor the team because we honored the national champion and my question was how would your team do against the national champions, they were pretty good LSU this year, right, not a bad quarterback? How do you think, I don't know, you think okay, right?" Click here to watch the video.

NDSU went 16-0 last year and currently has a 37 consecutive game winning streak. They won the national titles in 2011, 2012, 2013, 2014, 2015, 2017, 2018, 2019. The NDSU quarterback, Trey Lance, didn't throw an interception his first year as the starter quarterback. The team went to the White House last year in March of 2019.

NDSU's next big opponent will be the Oregon Ducks. That game will not have any fans in the stands according to a story we did early this month. To read more about that click here. Will NDSU be able to beat the Oklahoma Sooners record of 47 consecutive wins that happened in 1953-1957? No one knows, I guess, that's why we play the game.
